Our Experiences at the Nighclub & Bar Convention
For two days this week, Jim and I participated in the largest convention dedicated to the food and beverage industry. The trade show portion of the convention is held for two days, March 3 & 4. During these two days, we greeted many guests that were at the show in search of an inventory control system for their retail liquor store. Many had systems and were looking to make a change. A few, surprisingly did not have a system.
Also visiting us were several of our existing customers. It is always great to see Joe Anderson from Sprit and Wine Cellars, as well as Dino from Monroe Liquors and Patricia Bernier from Bernier’s. We also had a chance to meet the new IT person from Lee’s Discount Liquor. Sean will be helping Scott and Abbi in supporting the growing system needs for the Lee’s chain of stores.
Of special note is the selection of Lee’s Discount Liquor as the Retailer of the Year. Mr. Lee and his key people were recognized at a special dinner Tuesday evening. Congratulations to Lee’s for this tremendous recognition.
As for the trade show, there was a almost constant stream of people walking through the exhibit hall. While the majority of the attendees are not from the retail, off-premise environment, we ere able to meet a large number of very nice people. We are optimistic that the leads gathered at the show will develop into new Vision users. Some of the people we met:
We were mildly disappointed that Durrell and Greg were not able to attend the trade show this year. We always look forward to their visit. See you next year guys!
