Many Retailers are continually being asked for donations. One of our progressive merchants has come up with a novel approach using Vision to allow customers to donate their frequent buyer points.

A customer comes in and is identified as “Mr. Jones”. Their record is linked to a group called “ABC Charity”, so that any transactions have points accrued to this charity.

The Charity accumulates points for all customers who wish to be identified with this organization. At the same time the retailer can go to the charity and inform them of the program, prompting them to urge their members to participate by enrolling at the store.

The Charity gets the benefits of the accumulated points (Gift Cards, etc) and the Retailer gets additional customers.
