Vision Users, Come Together

It is official. We have come to the end of the first ICS Vision User Group Meeting, unscathed. The meeting was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Edison, NJ and attended by seven Vision users. ICS was represented by six employees. The meeting went well, the invited customers offered several excellent ideas for new features or improvements to Vision.

I want to thank all of the retailers that made the effort and took the time to attend. We were encouraged by the attendees to plan more of these meetings and have been asked to try to arrange a training session for the store managers.

As for the meeting itself, we were able to cover a number of areas of Vision that were not well known (tips and tricks). Some we feel the retailers found useful and some were not. The discussion about tools and functions was extremely lively (sale item wizard, free goods wizard and purchase order generator). Of great interest was the operation of Robust Register. We demonstrated the register operating in regular and then stand-alone mode. We were able to learn some new features that the attendees suggested. Finally, we talked about some of the new things coming, such as VisionWeb, signature capture and customer order re-write. We also demonstrated the optional in-store kiosk software that allows your customers to search your inventory database while in the store.

We look forward to our next user group meeting where we hope to come away with as many new ideas as we learned from this, our inaugural meeting.
